| I have 10 years of experience with the school system servicing mostly elementary schools and head starts. I also have 4 years of P-RN experience working at a private clinic. I love working with little ones, it's my passion! I have been with early steps for over 10 years and I adore it so much that I decided to pursue a full time career in early intervention in 2020. I have worked with kids with a range of various delays/disorders. Autism, fluency, articulation, and language disorders are just a few examples. I am also familiar with the use of an AAC system/device to facilitate successful communicative interactions. Child directed therapy, multi-sensory, thematic instruction, sensory regulation strategies, and incorporating the strengths and interests of the child into therapy are some of the approaches I use to make therapy fun. Parent/family involvement and training are some things that I help to facilitate during therapy sessions so that authentic communicative opportunities can occur after therapy ends! | |||||||||||||
